I'm giving up on love
it doesn't exist for me
all I see is broken hearts
and tears shed by crying fools

had enough of empty words
and people spreading the lie
"I love you" they would say
while breaking your heart in two
dropping you as soon as the money runs out
of if you can't fulfil their dreams

I gave up on all my dreams
for people who claimed to love
now I'm left with shattered pieces
and the liar has run away

For me there is no point
In believing a lie like the others
guess the truth will hurt less
than the pain of losing another

So tell Aphrodite to stay away
and let Venus know I'm not interested
I'll have cupid's head on a plate
if he comes near me again
because I'm giving up on love
