Goodbye old life and hello new,
This one I plan to share with you.
Stay near, don’t ever leave me.
It’s good to have you on my side.
It’s nice to know this bumpy ride
Comes with such fine company.

I can’t help but love this new direction.
I love my choice, my new selection.
You weren’t brought by luck alone.
It’s a new start and without a doubt
I’ll never be able to be without
The fields of love we’ve sown.

I love the way we just connect,
You seem to me to be perfect
(Though you prefer Paul over John.)
Our many hours together seem few
But I promise to give them all to you,
Even after my time is gone.

I love your smile and little notes,
Your laugh accompanying movie quotes
And your unique point of view.
My mind won’t let this question go
And so my dear, I have to know,
How does forever sound to you?
