.4. Lambretta Delight Poem by David Threadgold

.4. Lambretta Delight

My L.I. one fifty
With yellow side pods
Chrome plated crash bars
Six mirrors on rods

Fur tiger tail trophies
Came free with your fuel
Hung down from the bars
Making scooter look cool

I polished it Sundays
Tyres painted them black
Went out for a ride
Then pushed the thing back

Worked on it all week
Even gave it a name
Till Sunday came round
And it did much the same
