The day I went to see the queen
Her corgis ran round madly
She asked me would I like some tea
I would and thanked her gladly
She ushered forth a butler
Whose job it was to pour
And keep a watch for empty cups
Then quickly pour some more
Her maid came in with sandwiches
Each one had lost its crust
I can’t remember what they were
And felt near fit to bust
The queen had fondant fairy cakes
Her corgis chewed a bone
Next time I think I’ll wear a tie
When I go to fix her phone
