.5. Hidden Extra’s Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Hidden Extra’s

I think we all have choices
Sometimes it’s hard to tell
We try to choose the things we buy
The stores try hard to sell

Sales show us all the options
Many come with interest free
Extend your one-year warranty
With a one off policy

Forget those hidden extras
New printer will need inks
Of course you’ll need a cable
Costs rising as he thinks

The salesman knows he’s got you
When you ask about the price
He caressed the last one in the store
You purchase in a trice

With pockets nearly empty
He goes in for the kill
Sells paper, disks and DVD’s
Then leaves you at the till
