.5. I Tend To Forget Poem by David Threadgold

.5. I Tend To Forget

Rating: 5.0

My brains in decay
Bits have started to rot
It never remembers
The things it forgot

When I see a face
It can’t tell me their name
I explain I’ve forgot
They say bless what a shame

It never reminds me
Of an important date
Anniversary and Birthdays
All get their cards late

I’ve tried really hard
To get my brain thinking
But I’m coming to terms
With the fact that it’s shrinking

I write little reminders
To help stop the rot
But where did I put them
My brain has forgot
