.5. Nature’s Way Poem by David Threadgold

.5. Nature’s Way

Rating: 5.0

Who drilled the first hole in the sea?
Which made the seabed boil?
Who kept on going deeper?
Till at last they struck the oil

What sort of men worked on the rigs?
With waves so very rough
What place was this could take a life?
When your down and had enough

Why do we burn these fossil fuels?
We took from down below
Why give off foul emissions
They spoil the ozone so

Where will we get replacements?
When the oil stocks all run dry
Where will the oilrigs all go then
If there’s nowhere else to try

When will we learn to use the wind?
The water and the sun
When we stop using only oil
And live as life begun
