784. My Torments In Fragments! 060309

Even a beggar won’t stagger near
A home where from comes no alms.
I – the most unashamed one
Knock Your door daily,
For people to mock at me,
In spite of Your not inviting me,
Even after Your pretends
To neglect my torments!

I linger at Your door,
No other way to this poor!
But my hungry senses get angry;
To satisfy them I move away.
Mother Maya is always ready,
With feast to my senses not steady

Some say I must open
And cross gates seven,
From muladhara to sahasrara,
Each chakraa like a flora,
To see You face to face!
But still I wait at first gate! !
When will I touch Your feet?
Why are You far away to reach?

Some say You are very close.
Closer than one’s own heart!
But to see You face to face
One ought to have child’s heart!
Tell me where will I get it?

Some say You are with form
Most beautiful enticing form!
But to see You face to face
Inner eye-sight needs light!
Will I ever see You in this life?

Some say You are without form.
Can I sense Your formless form?
For I being a form of mind.
How will I ever go beyond?

All Self-realized souls
Were born with goals
To realize Self primary
To awaken others secondary
Any God-head man or woman
Were born with fabulous wisdom
Buddha or Ramana or RK
Thirtha Rama or Jaggi or JK
……….
Endless avatars of India
All were born with hidden
Insight just to hatch out!

But I am the most ignorant fellow,
Don’t know any way to follow!
Will I die like a worthless worm,
Without seeing Your endless form,
Even after having got Your sweet name,
In my lips, in my blood and in my heart? 060309

The Katha Upanishad says: (14) Yathadarshe tathatmani yatha svapne tatha pitriloke Yatha apsu pariva dadrishe tatha gandharvaloke Chhayatapayoriva brahmaloke. As (one sees) oneself very distinctly reflected in a mirror, so (there springs a vision of the Reality) in one's intellect; as in a dream, so in the world of the manes; as it is seen in water, so in the world of the Gandharvas; as it is in the case of light and shade, so in the world of Brahma. In days of yore, when the disciples used to live with the teachers and learn from the examples of their lives, there was a guru who one day called all his young disciples to his side. To each of them, he gave a small live bird and said, 'Go into the forest, each one of you, kill your bird, and come back. But there is one condition: you must kill your bird where nobody will observe you killing.' Among the disciples there was one, who according to others, was a blockhead, a fool. He used to be teased by others. Within a short time, all the disciples except our 'fool' returned with their work accomplished. The guru with other disciples was anxiously waiting for him till, finally, in the dark hours of night, that fool, with fearful steps, appeared before them. His head was hung in shame and the live bird sat on his hand nibbling at his palm. He stood at a distance before the guru. Soon there issued a peal of laughter among the disciples. The guru advanced to the unsuccessful one and asked the reason why he failed to carry out the guru's word. With tears flowing down his cheeks, the 'fool' looked up and mumbled: 'O Revered Sir, I tried in the darkest parts of the forest also but I could not find a place where no one sees. At every place I found He (God) is observing.' The guru knelt down to reach the height of the 'foolish' boy, his eyes blurred with tears. With choking voice the guru could only utter the words: 'O blessed one! You have realized the Truth.' The story reveals a few truths to us: First, the boy saw the presence of God everywhere. Secondly, God had also seen him! Thirdly, the intelligent ones did not see. Fourthly, the 'fool' had full faith in the guru and the scriptures. like the guru i want to kneel at your feet.... if there is some one whose heart and spirit write any poem it is you only Amma would like to permanently reside with you ' Om Sri Matre Namah '
