A 500th poem

Why should I not celebrate it as an auspicious occasion?
Completion of 500th poem should not end my passion
I will have to struggle hard to make poems known to outside world
Even if I am cold shuddered, relations strained or turn into cold

How many inspired me in this holy drive?
How could I be stayed on for long and survive?
Certainly they captured my heart and soul in open
Why should I look back to unpleasant things and reopen

I am yet surprised how could I achieve it in good spirit
Who was leading me on path with little lantern dimly lit
Was she all the time leading me safely to destiny?
She held her hand and penned the thoughts with me

What can be remembered more on this day?
The person who led me to walk on this way?
Or the friends who inspired to me to express and say?
They counted so much in my life to find golden ray

I face no or little problem as writer
I need not convince anybody that I am good fighter
They made me strong with their conviction
To withdraw from race is now out of question

I couldn’t believe my eyes how I could do this
Everything went on smoothly without any miss
How important things could just flew in poetry?
Was it miracle or simple matter to find an entry?

I am firmly placed by the grace of God
Friends and readers have given good nod
I was nothing when put first step forward
Their love and affection is only my reward

I shall continue to Endeavour for close contact
Revelation of new development to the subject
I may not live more to witness the outcome
I am sure the new poetry concept will always be welcome

I shall not be bound by any restrictions
It must flow freely for any actions
It has to rise for the support of the poor
Rest all must find no favor or door

Poet must find space in real scene
It must have reflection and clearly seen
My work may be judged tomorrow
I must have simple ethics to follow

I shall strive hard to maintain peace
People must follow it with ease
I must be down to earth poet
It must not spark passion but remain quiet

Words may go down as natural flow
It will not deliver any unjust blow
Cordial relation and harmony must rule the day
My creation may find nothing or something to say

Poet must find space in real scene
It must have reflection and clearly seen
My work may be judged tomorrow
I must have simple ethics to follow

in one of my poems i have the conclusive couplet written likewise.

Even the plainest verse must propound
The hard realities of the day.

    The unturned pages of tomorrow
Must avoid the pangs of sorrow.

A poet can either escape into an ethereal world or drown himself in the whirlpool turmoil of the society. The first attitude attempts to have harmony and self-revelation. it needs insight and a soaring spirit. But the second needs a tough spirit and a soft conscience. It has to fight without reason and passion to fulfill the Promise of a devoted soul and spirit to search endlessly for the answer. it is the search for creating a newer world which will make this world a haven and if possible a heavan to live in. such souls fight, knowing fully well, that they are fighting a losing battle. yet they do it with an affirmation that their noble vision and mission will be acknowledged by the world and it will appease the soul that had had fought desperately but undauntedly. anyway in a battle one can win while the other loses. it is noble to fight a losing battle rather than be a coward and a slave without salvation.

    Yours lovingly

Hi Hasmukh - Well done! ! 500 is a big bench mark - never attained in age but in some thinga attainable - 500 runs in cricket - 500 postage stamps in an album - 500 paintings and for some 5oo poems. But how - you ask - is this possible. Your own creative brain - yes - but also the one who held you - your family - your friends - you readers - your commentaters and last but not least GOD (V 7) . Without God we are nothing and can achieve nothing. I like the linguistic structure and the rhyme and the rhythm. The first six verses look back and the second six look forward to the 1000th. To continue (V 8) to flow freely (V 9) to find space
(V 10) to strive hard (V 11) and to go with the natural flow (V 12) . Thanks for sharing - yours in Poetry - JOHN (Report) Reply

    Sir
Speechless Inarticulate I’m … the best way to commemorate and humbly consecrate poetic ovation [on your majestic indefatigable unputdownable purplepursuit 500 poems] …I’m insolvent but … great Poet R.N.Tagore the great rescuer and refuge …provided me all emotive noetic oxygen calories [vide infra] to participate in glorious colorful resplendent splendorous poetic biz buzz:

    'When
    Life dries up
    Come,
    As shower of compassion
    When
    All the charms of life
    Get hushed up
    Come
    As lyrical-elixir of nectar….’

    congratulation,
    on your fifth century,
    a poet can be,
    with his words,
    like a bird,
    on his flight,
    with so bright,
    heart and mind,
    i can remind,
    you when i was with,
    my 1st poem,
    i was with your guidance,
    it was my great chance,
    to grow with words,
    now people know me,
    with good poetry,
    this became possible,
    with your devoted,
    good poetry,
    that came to in infancy.,
    and grew to a page,
    thanks to HASMUKH: (Report) Reply
