A Big Nose She Only Can See Poem by Francis Duggan

A Big Nose She Only Can See

Rating: 3.5

She is quite a beautiful looker a thing that she already knows
But one thing that does give her bother is she feels that she has a big nose
And each time she looks in the mirror a big nose is all she can see
But what she feels is on the large side does seem rather petite to me.

Her nose that gives her so much worry does not seem too big or too small
She's a young beauty in her mid twenties and well proportioned over all
As a school girl a boy said your nose is quite large and that put a dent in her pride
And the thought in her brain has been planted that her nose is on the big side.

It would seem she's beyond convincing that her nose not big in any way
The thought that convinced her in childhood is the thought that convince her today
That her nose is out of proportion like a huge ugly wart on her face
And the negative taunt has stuck with her and that thought to this day she embrace.

A boy for a laugh once had teased her and he planted the thought in her brain
And the thought it has grown and grown branches and with her till death 'twill remain
And each time she looks in the mirror a big nose she only can see
And what to her looks unattractive appears rather petite to me.
