A Bit Of Light Poem by Debleena Chatterjee

A Bit Of Light

A beam of light can bring hope
To someone in despair,
A single smile tells your friend,
That you are always there.
And a little kindness on your part,
Fills their lives with light,
Its effect remains long thereafter,
Even in the darkest night.

Light can battle darkness when we hold it close, proclaiming it an enemy And fearing it while our own light glows, So not daring to wander outside our protective circle we walk on the long-trodden path of fear, hope, and despair, and arouses ignorant wrath so let it shine, ever divine let it flood your soul, But, like a prisoner in a dungeon, think not of the light as a hole. Thanks for the beautiful comment & appreciation!
