A Black Sky

  No moon tonight.
How sad, how very sad.
Cracks in the wall like craters,
my body's unwhole-
a skeleton of a tree
in an endless rift
of black night cloth,
dressed for my funeral.
A ragged dog
reaches for its raspberry scrotum,
I am not alone.
I am not dead
but my death is seeping
through the willowy curtains,
lit by fog and its convergence.
Forwards moves backwards through a continuous dream.
The psyche lusts for its lost crevices
in dusty fields. I close my eyes-
the mind, one candle lit in a doubtful wind.
The moon, lone moon, obscured by all of this.
