A Bleeding Heart Poem by Kai Schultz

A Bleeding Heart

A knife
A knife in the heart it feels

Every word you said,
Deeper it goes

But I can see in your eyes
You know not the pain you inflict

Though you see the tears stain my face

It hurts
It hurts so much

If only I could be emotionless
The pain would be bearable

But alas you touched my heart
Love flowed through

So pain of my heart is blinding

My heart
My heart bleeds from this wound

A wound only you can mend
Only you can make the pain fade

My love for you is strong
Making the pain worse

Can you free me from this curse?
