A Blind Sees The World..... Poem by Samin Fatima

On a wonderful day of spring
I went to a beach
I saw the rays of the bright sun
Sparkling like diamonds on the sea

Life seemed so wonderful
For the first time
Then I saw a girl coming towards me
I could tell that she could not see
I went to her and asked her to sit
She took off her glasses and sat with me

I told her what a beautiful scene it was
Only if she could see
And she replied that she sure could see.
My eyes opened in surprise
And I asked her how as she could not see…
I still remember what she said
As her words were brighter than the sun

Upon my asking she replied
That she really didn’t needed eyes
As she could see life from her heart.
Then she got up, took her glasses
Said goodbye and wished me luck
That girl though was blind
But she proved to me that,
If you look at the world with beautiful eyes
The whole world looks beautiful…………
