A Born Survivor Poem by Scarlett Outlaw

A Born Survivor

Rating: 5.0

He is old, he is fragile.
He is my grandfather.
He has fought everyone and everything.
He will protect me from illness,
Why can't I do the same?
He survived my mothers' dreadful battles,
His parent's death.
What if he can't survive the cancer?
I want him to live forever and ever,
Two hundred years even!
He said he will love me no matter what I do,
Even if I walk out of my parent's life,
He will support me all the way.
If he dies, I won't survive anything,
Not life,
Not breathing,
My heart will stop beating.

What a wonderful tribute to your grandpa. He must be very proud of you. Your childlike simplicity, innocence and warm feelings is God-gifted. He will live in your heart forever and ever.
