A Brief Note For My Surgeons Poem by Thomas Vaughan Jones

A Brief Note For My Surgeons

Rating: 5.0

I shall not mark it as some
dark depravity
When you delve deep in my
abdominal cavity
Come cut me!
Slash me!
Slice me as you will.
Let those voracious scalpels
drink their fill.
But please remember
when you've done the deed
to put back any organs I still need

For this one small advice I must impart
A poet cannot write without a heart.

A very witty and humorous write but it still rings true. Would be a good laugh in the operating room (smile) . No pun intended. Inspiring write Thomas. Take care friend.

A fine and witty write. I would also add: 'When you sow me up, be sure to remove all tools and extraneous stuff.'
