A Bubble Poem by Khairul Ahsan

A Bubble

Rating: 5.0

A bubble erupts on the turbulent water,
Unaware, of the vastness of the expanse
Of the waves on which it rides
Happily dancing, braving the tides.

Innocent in its mirth
Happy since its birth,
Undaunted by the threat of a sudden burst,
The bubble smiles as long as it lasts!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poet's Notes: The moments of happiness of our life are like bubbles of an ocean. Many a rainbow lie hidden there, which disappear as soon as the bubble bursts.

Sorry Brian, I missed the bus. Two years belatedly replying. How are you? Your absence from this poetry site is giving rise to fears, given the situation. My best wishes and prayers for you!

Undaunted, by the threat of sudden burst..............this made me laugh, lightheartedly, ............as a bubble might laugh. this has nice flow and rhyme (one!) . of course a bubble would be happy. it doesn't have to mow the lawn, cook meals, or put up with its spouse! ! ! to MyPoemList. bri ;)

'of course a bubble would be happy. it doesn't have to mow the lawn, cook meals, or put up with its spouse! ' - This made me laugh too, @Bri Edwards.

Totally enjoyed this poem, it made me smile as I imagined it floating on the surface of the ocean! Light hearted and very much like our lives as we live them, having hidden inspiration and joy at times before bursting at our end. Great poem, Khairul! Thank you for sharing, RoseAnn
