A Burning Desire Poem by Bancroft Boreland

A Burning Desire

Rating: 4.5

I do not know
If loving you is right or wrong
But in your heart is the only place that I belong
For a life with you I am craving
Your love is the food for which my heart is starving
I have a burning desire to love and be loved

I am not an actor so I will not pretend
That love is a language I can comprehend
It is a puzzle that I cannot figure out
It is a subject I know so little about

If love is a war
Then I am a coward
Who is not bold enough to be afraid.
