Life has its moments, and I have my dreams.
And sometimes all we have is not what it seems.
We all have our fantasies, the ones we keep inside,
The ones that keep us warm at night, our evenings tide

I have a way that gets me by, it keeps my future bright
It's so very simple, and it feels so very right.
It gives me hope, it gives me faith, and it burns so very bright.
It is the magic in my life, this Candle in the Night.

I lie down and watch it glow, and I see the dreams aflame.
And I give each little magic thought, a very magic name.
I see my life and fortune in every flame that flickers
I love the thoughts that come to my mind I wish they would come quicker.

A Candle in the Night, glowing oh so very bright,
A Candle in the night, it’s such a beautiful sight.
This candle is my window, to the magic that hides inside.
It is journey to a special place that should never be denied.
