A Carnation And A Tango Poem by Sandra Feldman

A Carnation And A Tango

Rating: 0.5

When I feel lonely, desperate,
I listen to the sad, palpitating cry
Of an old Tango,
Words carved in the memory of my Past,
Shadows of a Love that did not last.

Life hurts and is so unjust,
No matter how hard we try to trust,
Justice Never wins,
And Love is just a red Carnation,
Torn and thrown away from a lapel,
Blown upon by winds of love frustration.
