A Christian is a follower
Of Jesus Christ our Lord
Following in his footsteps
Written in Bible record

We are forgiven for our sins
When exercising faith;
In Jesus' death, the ransom
No matter what our race.

But just because a person
Holds the word and claims Jesus
Does not mean he's a Christian
Jesus Christ taught this to us.

So if a person says he loves
The Christ and his teachings
Look closely at his actions
And the doctrines he is preaching.
