A Collective Commitment To Rid Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

A Collective Commitment To Rid

Never has it ever paid,
To exaggerate what takes place...
In someone's life to incite an invitation,
To spread indignities and lies.
Because of something done that is disliked.

All one has to do is to look around,
To see the damage done.
And if it is admitted as it seldom is,
Less incorrect information that is fed to wound...
To use effectively as weapons,
Would rid most small town communities of their problems.

IF...
The doing of this,
Becomes a collective commitment to rid.
