A Conversation With An Enemy

Death you are going to die
You have ravished our hearts and compelled us to cry
Death you are going to die
You have strangled our loved ones and made us ask why

Death you are going to die
Evil enemy of existence-it's no lie
Death you are going to die
Slimy servant of sin-your doom is very nigh

Death you are going to die
Your last breath is imminent -this you can't deny
Death you are going to die
Buried forever-never to open your eye

Death you are going to die
No one will mourn you destruction nor even sigh
Death you are going to die
Bid sadness farewell-kiss separation good bye

Death you are going to die
You are your final fatality-my, my, my
Death you are going to die
No more clouds of sadness-perpetual fair blue sky

Death you are going to die
Your ugly head will be crushed by Someone on high
Death you are going to die
You can't stop Jesus-it's useless even to try

Death you are going to die
Celebration time-the saints are ready to fly
Death you are going to die
Joy and life forever in the sweet bye and bye

A very powerful write. Death the worst enemy will
finally be destroyed. There will be no more sorrow
nor pain. So inspiring Simon. (Report) Reply

Based on the Scriptures death shall die when THE PRINCE OF PIECE returns on or before The Great Tribulation. A nice poem well ground on the Holy Book. Thanks for sharing. Please read and rate my poem. MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply

Death is quite the enemy. But death is also inevitable. Death cannot die. In which case we should accept it and live life. Very well written poem. (Report) Reply

There is going to be a time when Death will have no more sway over us. Now we cringe in fear before this feral enemy and he rejoices...

But Oh, Death your doom is near
For you, we'll have no more fear!

Great write...so rhyming and free flowing! (Report) Reply

And stay dead beneath the clod
You who played with our lives
And tell the devil or a higher God
    All your proper good byes.........

Good work and I invite you to my page too.... (Report) Reply

Actually my dream is that the Angel of Death lives forever, just stripped of its power, forced to endure the pity of all the Saints, the men, women, and children (whose lives it stole) for all of eternity. Let God's justice, however, reign (not mine) . (Report) Reply

Very insightful and it carries the truth that death does come but it faces its own death in the hands of God........
hence making us eternal...........great write Howard (Report) Reply
