They say tall people can not run short distances
But look at this gangly man
Who stands like a colossus
Dwarfing all before him
No one can match his stride
As he outruns them effortlessly

They have tried to explain his speed
Superstitious people say he is a reincarnation of a cheetah
Scientists have compared him to neanderthal man
His fans have taken to the internet
To express their adoration in a number of ways
Even portraying him outrunning a flying machine

But there are those who can not wait for his dethronement
Who convince themselves in their minds
That it was a fluke
But no matter what they say
One thing they can not take away
From the triple Olympic gold medalist
Is his abundant talent
