A Delightful Sight Poem by krissi b'williams

A Delightful Sight

Rating: 3.5

SUCH THE DELIGHT, OF THE SIGHT
SITTING ALL ALONE, BY YOURSELF 2NIGHT
my friends came by, to say hi
and take me around the town
as we walked to the pier, to have a clod beer
there you were sitting alone...texting some1 on your phone
a friend of mine, grabbed my arm
asked if i was fine...my smile was warm

I REMEMBER THEM NIGHTS, WHEN YOU LEFT ME AT HOME ALONE
CALLING, N, CALLING N TEXTING YOUR PHONE
blowing out the candles 4 it was late at night
and sneaking in, by dawns light
I WAS SO PROUD THAT I WAS STRONG ENOUGH TO LET YOU GO
AND MORE PROUD NOW, THAT I KNOW
how you finally feel how it is to be stood up
wondering what was wrong, why the love is not enough
a friend of mind decided to go to, a diffewrent place
the memories blrred and were replaced
of me having 1 hell of a time
out of sight, n out of mind
didnt look back where...i had seen you alone just sitting there
texting on the phone....I WAS SO PROUD, THAT I SQUEALED ALOUD

grabbed my friends hands, we were at the new place
where it was all about to end..there was drinking, laughing and dancing to do...with all kinds of hot guys, so why? would i remember you?
youve been so replaced, by out of sight out of mind
2night was about me having fun, with every1
leaving you where you belonged, for so long, in the very back of my mind
