A Desperate Plea Poem by Nathaniel Kursta

A Desperate Plea

Trapped and lost
In a life robbed of choices
My presence gradually becoming a void,
indifference and nonchalance overshadowing all memories

Living the motions everyday
Grey-interspersed laughter- a
Maniacal laughter
Watching helplessly; an audience in my life.

..Desperation, helplessness, loneliness, envy
Foreign feelings invade
The familiar blanket of self-pity falls
And resentment nettles snugly

Slowly losing my senses,
(literally and figuratively)
Rendered blind, deaf, numb
to Your presence

'Break me.Save me.'
I know You hear my plea
