A Different Challenge Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Different Challenge

Rating: 4.8

You were in different mood and always furious
You didn’t take it as challenge and very serious
It struck you when you were in midst of course
You had to act in haste and withdraw of course

What could have delighted you more?
What were the options left to explore?
Was it unexpected or came like hurricane?
You knew it well when your impression was on wane

I watched you from the distance
Yours wasn’t the first instance
I knew it may fall any time and anywhere
You got to find shelter somewhere

You didn’t get what was legitimately due
If moon was to blamed than it is true
You paid heavy prize for being honest
Time has come when you face ouster from nest

It doesn’t matter who is far or who is near
I sensed it may strike and create fear
It was very evident and crystal clear
You will have to rise and not shed the tears

Devil was to be buried in grave
You got to prove very brave
You were safe from near shave
You got to be very cautious and behave

It may not matter how did you face?
It may also not matter how did you prepare and brace?
You may find sun burning your skin
Whether you loose interest or are akin

You may find opposite bank very hostile
You won’t be able to stand for while
You got to face it and brave the occasion
Whatever may be the task o course of action?

Stay put wherever you are
Gone were the days and remained far
You may find favorable space and wind
Hospitable land and suitable climate you find

No one can stop your course
You have decided not to curse
See that devil is not raising his head
Smash it if you can and maintain the lead

Go and wash your area or shore
Face the challenge and brunt you bore
It may not fail you in your quest any more
All happiness and joy waiting in store

I may see you from my divine vision
There is no more fear and division
You may have clear way ahead
Stars do twinkle and neatly read

Don’t cry for somebody’s action and fault
It might have been insult and somersault
You got to forget and brace for new lease of life
You may prove very good mother and honored wife

I liked the way you built on the notes played from line to line. Not all storytellers are poets but all poets are storytellers. A very fine job telling this one.

I actually, like this poem, the last couple of stanzas were very connective to many things in our lives, I love the exemplary vocabulary used, it creates a mass amount of imagery, imagery which is quite nice to picture.
