A Different Kind Of Sight Poem by Jennifer Romero

A Different Kind Of Sight

In the beginning there was darkness,
No sense to the surrounding mist of confusion,
There was no purpose to existence,
Only hope for the existence of purpose.
Not a bird cry was ever heard,
Not a luscious plant ever seen,
No true sense of belonging ever felt.
Yet, life still reigned.

Limited by what divine breath had made so,
Limited with foreign thoughts and no understanding,
How could connections be forged?
How could comprehension be found?
How could the true meaning be explained?

The answer is not tangible to our senses,
The answer lies in the magic, the flow of how all was made.
Take the essence of the unknown,
Combine it with the awakening of the soul.
Open up your vision at a different conscious level.
Look at little and see a lot.
See what your eyes cannot.
