A Dirty Food-Seller. Poem by U Win Kyi

A Dirty Food-Seller.

A roadside food-seller,
visited by no customers.
His business so meagre.
He is so idle.

Then there comes a customer
with a great hunger.
From entering the shop.
the ugly sight has stopped.

The food-seller picking his teeth,
scratching his feet
with violent sneezing,
forceful nose blowing,
clearing the the throat,
his clothes sweat-soaked,
his hair with dandruff,
no cleaning and scrub.

These are the customer repellent.
Eating becomes disgusting and unpleasant.

The shop is then closed permanent,
ending his poor business.
