A Doll. Poem by Cain XXX

A Doll.

look into the mirror.
do you like what you see?
no.

replace those eyes that
threaten to over spill with
pain with those of
beautiful glass.let
people only see the
lovely hazel brown.

those tear-stained cheeks,
powder them so
others may gaze at your
flawless complexion.
no one is interested in the
tears you cry.

that down-turned mouth?
lift it.
it is your responsibility to
show the world the
perfect white of your
perfect smile.
remember your
duty.
always.

look into the mirror.
what do you see? a
human?

no.
you see
only a doll.

then you are
perfect.
