A Dragon Atop A Dark-Deep Pit Poem by Hamid Moghaddasi

A Dragon Atop A Dark-Deep Pit

We are prisoner
in our bodies;
our programmed bodies
imprisoned
into the unknown world.
Worse
No, worst
If you be a female
in a male-dominated society;
and
an unwanted male
as a husband
no, as a dragon
with an ugly soul
be on your side
no,
atop a dark-deep pit
