A Dream Poem by joyce vajda

A Dream

Rating: 5.0

A dream yet such clarity in the dark
An image that goes straight to the heart
With a pleasure that is almost pain
Making time and lofty distance, so petty, mostly in vain
This is what a romantic wants, that is what a lover longs for
Not to own, control, or to just be near
Merely to see, but to be, to be, to be
Across the ocean, across the sea
It matters not, it knows it can and will be
A dream yet such clarity in the dark
An image that goes straight to the heart
A dream of fate reaches out to you once more
Finding your place quietly upon the shore
The dream rages on as you sleep
Hunting your lover long and deep
You awake reborn needing nothing else but a dream in my sleep
A dream of bliss my happiness sheer high above
It's you I see like eons before, reaching for you a dream of love

The feeling of love and dreaming of love is one of the best feelings. Great poem.
