A Dream That Grew From Loneliness Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

A Dream That Grew From Loneliness

Rating: 4.5

Velvet smoothness
The soft light catching your skin
Your rhythmic breathing
says your heart, please take me in
Your eyes of softness
reveal no lies
Only love and passion
melts my heart by surprise
You're beautiful
Though you hardly know
It's your heart I feel beating
tenderness on your face does show
and tells me where to plant my kissess
and where to softly go
To places warm and moist
and in between and from head to toe
It's your love
It's your very spirit
I breathe in like sips of wine
and want to know
a little at a time
because long before this moment
I dreamed that you were mine
and for this love
I've waited
such a long and lonely time
and later you too have moments
without duress or fear to impress
to explore the love you feel
with no aprehension to express
your long-awaited romance
build on love and tenderness
because you always dreamed of love that truely felt
the precious softness of your heart's caress
a dream that grew from loneliness
