A Fake Fairy Tale Poem by Natalia Shilkin

A Fake Fairy Tale

When I was a little girl,
I read fairy tales,
About hopeless girls,
And when they meeting their
Prince charm,
On his white horse,
They are living happily,

And what?
I’m not hopeless?
I don’t disserve a prince?
Or live in happiness?

So now? I don’t believe in fairy tales
Because they never
Come true.
