A Familiar Stranger Poem by Aadesh Baniya

A Familiar Stranger

Seen a thousand faces but none like ur shall i say
Been to numerous places but none like ur heart
Flabbergasting think as you may
Injustice it would be, to tell you anything short of divine art

Your eyes speak a thousand words
And the silent lips even more
In a minimal hope to stumble onto you I wait at the crossroads
Pondering if only you knew how much i adore

Walk a little slow, will you?
Bless me for a little longer
Already have got the lovebug from you
Let the fever reach the apex and grip me stronger

Searching for words merely to adorn you with them
But i run short of them haplessly
Whenever you are around its always the same
But I blow it away eventually

Words are few and far to say
The way you make me feel
When you are around my heart is in disarray
And i stall motionlessly still

Your beauty is inexplicable
But it is an utter shame
To call you, I am unable
So, I beg your mercy 'familiar stranger' to tell me your name
