A Few Simple Gestures - Poem by Bradley Lester

These are simple things I'd do, if you were mine to stay
I'd do these things, to show I care, the morn of each new day
I'd make you coffee, muffins too, and set them by your side

A very nice poem to read. I really love your
way of expressing love in the simplest of
ways. They are the ones that matters the most.
    Enjoyed.

Good poem, but nothing too new, and it falls apart in the last two verses (Report) Reply

    Good gestures!
Ours, the lazy ones' lives, will be made a little more difficult if our better halves get an access to your poem.
However, a very nice poem, and I do appreciate your good meaning gestures...

    Washing dishes in the sink
Fetching books for her to read
Then with a cup of coffee to walk in
Is taking Feminism a trifle too far
In this role reversal I do see
    A big global conspiracy
And some day you may find
It be our job to bear babies fine
While they swish their hips and shine
And order us about as now husbands we do......

I meant this in good humour and consider both man and woman equal in everything. I do invite everyone to my page for your esteemed comments.

Aww you'd get sick though. From the weather. Would she then be able to take care of you in turn? (Report) Reply

the trick of happy life! Bradley! You must be a happy man! You don't go out to play golf? You don't watch the sports channel day and night? very strange, , but your poem is very cute, but I don't like my young to do it everyday, may be once in a while! (Report) Reply

Expressed straight from the heart- and undoubtedly makes one teary eyed. you know, somehow i relate to your feelings and your poems. No wonder you understood my poem well too, because only the hearts living those situations could understand.

Loved your poem and its dedication- rated 10 buddy :)
