It's funny how much
A few words can mean
And how much it hurts
When their not meant any longer

Words like 'I promise'
I promise you I’ll call
I promise you I’ll be there
I promise you there is no one else

Words like 'I love you'
I love you so much
I love you to death
I love you more then anything

Words like ‘Forever’
I want to be with you forever
This will last forever
We’ll forever be together

It seems that ‘I promise’
Is only to shut you up

And ‘I love you’
Is only till they find something new to love

And ‘Forever’
Is only as long as they are still interested

It’s not funny how much
A few words can change you
And it is not funny how much
It hurts when they change
And you’re left behind

As this new person that reminds you
Of them
