A Fine Time For A Disaster Poem by Not The Pilot

A Fine Time For A Disaster

i see the colors draining from you face
there's weakness in your laughter
there's a time and place for situations like these
it's here and now
let's have it out
this is fatal brutality
my thoughts vs. your wishes vs. reality
screaming hasn't a purpose
we have to take this alone
i'll draw up a map
you polish the guns
let's turn it into everything it can be
we've made this bedroom a battlefield
let's make it a memory
we'll have to embrace this is as one
so baby, get your gun

I like this one...it's got that 'bring it on' attitude about it! Nicely written. Hugs, dee
