A Fire's Dance Poem by Rachel Perry

A Fire's Dance

Rating: 4.5

Please, Spare me of this fire's dance,
It takes you up and puts you in a trance,
Love is lost in a war of lust,
Loving me would mean distrust,
Distress, Oh put the fire out,
I can't have you ever,
Not in the Fire's Dance.

Now it's not foolish to say 'i love you',
But in the fire's hands it comes back to burn you,
I can't trust the fire,
I can't have you in the fire's dance.
