A Flame Poem by Neela Nath Das

A Flame

Rating: 5.0

You forgot to
return my wish,
or you pretend
to get cocooned
in your natural home- - -
I don't know.
You taught me
the art- - - -
how to touch
the heart,
I learned from
you and none.
Everyday I rear
a pleasant thought,
spring summer autumn
or winter either
will give me back
my lost peace.
In this winter too
when snow is falling
from the blue,
I'm under the snow-blessed
Oak tree waiting
for you,
believe me,
only for You!
A flame is still
with me for you,
ablaze with passion!
