A Flower From Alice Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

A Flower From Alice

Rating: 3.2

Narrow purple circles
Refined on the borders of chaos
Colors of the edge
You take me into acrylics
You surround me with color

Ebullient joy wakes the war
The war of all men
Circles of sorrow
Malcolm X standing tall
Sketches of balance
Scales older than medieval eyes

Snow in the sun on pine branches
Beauty in the serene morning
Blood crimson as pain
Music penetrates the castle walls
She is dark like a sapphire moon
She is real like the stars of Van Gogh
You are the eclectic Madonna

Golden trumpet of Miles
Hunger of a roaring lion
Loose behind a good drummer
Emotion not quite cognitive
Doors of perception
Music created like a painter
Out of the jungle comes the sun
The subliminal dawn
A flower from Alice
