A Fool In Love Never Dies Poem by Leaking Pen

A Fool In Love Never Dies

Rating: 5.0

Yes I am jealous
From your every footprint
You leave behind
Heads turn around
In awe of your beauty
The trail of scent
You leave behind
Intoxicates my very existence
From every distance
Perceived or imagined
I am drunk without drinks
The scent of desire suffocates my lungs
Consumes my every waking seconds
Consumes my every fallen shut eye
To the nightmares of my unfulfilled dreams
A fool cries and surrenders his silent screams
I stumble tumble fall like a vagabond
Homeless in search and in need of shelter
Absence of mind
Where to find my kind
To understand the torture of me
A rope hanging from your tree
Chocking the essence of me
The nectar from you Daisy
Drains all aspect of me
Feelings I have for you,
Every ounce of me is true
My life spread under your feet
A fool, love sick, my story, my retreat
Consumes my sap, unbuckles my strife
If I can not have you in this life
I'll attach myself to death itself for release
Tonight finally I sleep and let go of your tease
Unlike useless rhyme waisted from my tongue
I have one word obsession, in my song
I said my last goodbyes with dying eyes
A fool in love never dies!

I had fond memories of my wife when reading your poem. It is amazing how love can make us feel and react. I think love is the binding force in the universe. A great write Paul.
