A Fool's Saga Of Love Poem by simi taneja

A Fool's Saga Of Love

was it the brew of mind, or concoction
of heart, stupefying your working senses?
keep blaming on your hormonal condition,
amounting to forsaken defenses.

initiation from infatuation, streaming
butterflies in stomach, eye contact, opposites
attract, and oblivious day dreaming
that you had found the perfect shoe that fits.

finding time for spending together,
blossoming into deep affection which,
cut short all the doubts of whether
this one was your last hitch.

agreement and disagreement continued,
they played with your sentiments like a game.
misunderstandings led to a feud,
and then, what remained was not the same.

feelings turned sour, demeanor dour, and clash
of ego led trust to waste.
insinuation by tattletales spurred brainwash,
inducing decision making in haste.

it's better to have loved and lost, than never
to have loved at all; embrace thy loss and hurt.
redeem your soul from this abyss, forever
remember the harsh lesson that you learnt.

no one is saint enough to blame
others for what they sin; once a fool, always
a fool; yes fool is my real name;
for i will find that love again, to cherish till end of days...
