A Forever Moment Poem by Patricia Gale

A Forever Moment

Rating: 5.0

His tender head upon my shoulder
My arms holding the greatest gift
My heart filled ….. complete

Gently I run my fingers through his golden brown hair
Close to heaven though here on earth
Not wanting to move…. to stay here for eternity

But this time shall end
This body will walk away but my heart shall remain
As I cherish this time I was given

The time I held a forever moment
Watching …. And breathing in each second
My darling…. I love you so….. My grandson.... the reason for this life

Of course - they are sent to bless us! The love is insurmountable. Your poem is warm and fuzzy and huggy and so so precious. Karin Anderson
