A Form Of Life Poem by Alexzia Ferdinand

A Form Of Life

trim it down
the extra frivolous frills
of sunlit eyes
and moonbeam passion
cut off, end.
simplicity equals
uncrazy unloved,
a form of life.
life without occasionally trumps
life with.
the heart pumps empty word blood
until the veins believe it fully.
meaningless equals
mouths tongues lips all
stuttering skipping playing
around truth,
a form of life.
truth is sometimes the facts and othertimes
it's a more enticing version of
a story.
devastation comes in doses
measured out swallowed
sips of disbelief
over time which fails
at healing wide open numb wounds
numb equals functioning fatally
stay back,
a form of life.
morning dawns with a brushstroke of impatience after
beating down mooncraziness
and clipping out his heart.
