A Friend In Need Poem by Elizabeth Sheaffer

A Friend In Need

Rating: 4.4

Trees outside in nighttime's pall
Casting shadows on the wall
Nasty, slimy crawling things
Slither through the dark's disease
Muffled sniffles from inside
Little girl who had to hide
Mom and Dad fight every night
Causing daughter such a fright
Little bear her only friend
Clutching tightly 'til the end

The way you express all the nasty things happening then close it with the girl and her bear. It just hits home that everyone needs a friend. i love it.
