A Friendship Fair Poem by Yasmin Khan

A Friendship Fair

Rating: 5.0

I've been thinking about our friendship so oft
Is it a bonding of souls and minds
Or mere an exchange of thoughts?

How could I put such deep trust in you
To confide all my secret laughs and tears
And a friendship very fair fondly grew?

I know it’s all the nobleness in your heart
That all my musings through thee take nobler form
No matter the distance and ‘strangeness’ that keep us apart

Wherever you may roam and chance to be
Across the seas, far away in foreign lands
Your words of cheers and intellect will never fail to find me

Friendship fair, the morning star in the blush of dawn
The grace of evening, amity blessed in the moments of discord
Kindles this piece of flesh that they call the heart

True friends are the most precious of all our possessions! They lighten our burdens and double our joys. However far, they are a source of consolation and support! To a faithful friend we can confide our inmost secrets and before him/her we can speak aloud! A great tribute to your friend!
