A Frightened Mind Poem by Tony Berndtsson

A Frightened Mind

Rating: 4.0

Someone was here
They were listening to the fear
The windows are gone
Someone stole the lawn

This fight is a tie
The cars try to sneak by
Absolutely nothing works
Phoning a thousand clerks

A monster was here
It was laughing at my tear
It is nowhere to be found
But it might still be around

I find a book about hearts
It tells me to break the sun into parts
It might take hours
But I will use that surname of ours

No wonder it is such a blunder
These are my thoughts going under
The monster is probably dead
These stairs are all in my head
