A Generous Gift Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

A Generous Gift

Your presence my anticipation
Your infectious smile awaited
Now a generous sight to behold
An air of freshness and beauty
As a freewill offering, bountiful
An effervescent smile of assent
A glance of acknowledgement
In this place often, heterodoxy,
As some may rather look away
To announce our insignificance
You alleviate the hurts betimes
At every meeting with a smile
A glorious gift more gracious
Than words can ever conjure
To revive and incite my heart
To work readily unashamedly
