A Glimpse At A Virgin's Mind

What rests unknown
In sentience
Is the song and echo
Of your bliss

Your juxtaposed warmth
Next to my corporeal winter
That consumes my dreams
And saturates my blood

For the mind journeys
To what is bestowed by touch
Of what rests superficial – The first kiss
And what inhabits beyond
What is unsighted and veiled

For love is a voyage
From innocence to bliss
For what rests elusive to the body
In the absence of a pledge
Is the miracle of love, pealed of sin

For love, the kind wrapped in body and soul
Is the heartbeat of providence
To which man is a perennial dreamer
As he awaits to consummate the music of spring
Embellished with a pledge of a timeless ring
